Congratulations to Blue Valley Schools' Abby Jones and Jeremy Mohn, who have been selected as the 2026 recipients of the Blue Valley Educational Foundation’s (BVEF) Innovative Educator Award. The BVEF award recognizes two educators who go above and beyond to apply innovative teaching methods in the classroom by creating or using new strategies, tools or ideas to engage students and achieve improved student results.

The Board of Education approved the 2027-28 school year calendar at their April meeting. The calendar was created with feedback from staff and families, and features a weeklong Thanksgiving Break. The calendar is available on the district calendar webpage.

As part of Blue Valley’s ongoing commitment to maintaining exceptional learning environments that support lifelong learners prepared to navigate their future with purpose, the district is conducting a community phone survey. Beginning April 13, the district will partner with The Morris Leatherman Company to conduct a community survey designed to better understand how the community views potential future capital projects, taxation rates and the district’s overall value. This survey reflects the district’s commitment to listening, engaging and gathering input to guide future recommendations.

Spring is in full swing, and our community calendar is packed with opportunities to get out, whether it's attending a baseball game or a spring musical. Legacy Pass holders receive free admission to all listed events. Blue Valley residents who are age 60 or older who would like to sign up for a Legacy Pass should visit the district's Legacy Senior Pass webpage
